Charism and Vision
Following in the footsteps of St. Francis and St. Clare in their poverty, penance, and simplicity of life, along with the model of apostolic formation and mission exemplified in the early followers of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the Sister Servants of Christ Jesus seek to advance the New Evangelization by means of preaching, teaching, and spiritual direction.
“Under the protection of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and the Chaste Heart of St. Joseph,we beg God for the grace to leave ourselves behind and to go in haste to ensure the Visitation of the Incarnate Word wherever we go, for the greater glory of God.”
— Vision Statement of the Sister Servants
As we seek the greater praise, reverence, and service of God our Lord like our brothers, the Servants of Christ Jesus, we believe the gift that the Lord is giving to the Church through this community is the witness of chaste masculinity and chaste femininity preaching the Gospel alongside one another.
Our Vision Statement below details what the lived experience of this looks like.
"She will feel safe under her brother’s gaze and will rejoice in the gift that her womanhood was created to be. It is then that the “eternal feminine” can once again be an inviolable gift to human civilization..."
-Saint John Paul II, Meditation on Givenness
